In some countries, it may be unsuitable to publish all
staff's names. HoD's decision needed.
Email addresses issue
In some Delegations, the staff uses addresses in the form firstname.name@delegation or firstname.lastname@ec.europa.eu .
Staff changes or relocations happen often, and this causes
problems/delays with email.
Delegations should use only generic email addresses :
Also, email addresses as mailto@delegation should be avoided
: they may be misleading, as "mailto" has a technical signification
(it is a HTML tag).
Existing improper addresses should be kept alive (because
they may be widespread in the public already), but only generic email addresses
should be advertized externally. This includes proper configuration of MS
Outlook: all messages must appear as "sent by" the generic address (of
course, the message is signed by a real person).
